Recently I was asked what the first steps should be for someone wanting to break into modeling. I decided that this could be useful information for anyone interested in the industry. Here's a few tips.
First Steps
Get your portfolio built up
Make a comp card.
The quickest way to do build your portfolio is to be discerning but not picky. You can find photographers building their portfolios who are willing to do TFP (Trade for Print/sometimes called Trade for CD/ or Trade for Time). You ... Continue reading...

Birth of a New Consciousness:
Sattelites in starlit sky, Weeping lights before your eyes Bending rules of universal truth...
Come together. We feel your need. Uni-fyre. The fruit tree bleeds.
Spacious emptiness Full of lightning drops; Quiet silence noisily mocks.
Wisdom-fruit is good when dry, Forming seeds that fall from sky. Through pieces of a broken world -Scattered about a noiseless whirl- We catch reflections of the past In jars of crystal and light blue glass.

Fortitude listlessly longing For my own cup of tea. I love my warm and cozy body But we need to do some re-modeling.
Life is easy when you’re a brand new house, Looking good and feeling tough.
Progressing into loose ends and faltering words, We look for a living that has more life than lift. We believe in our trying, Pounding out the rhythm just for fun- Seeing if anyone one will dance to our tune.
And sometimes they do….
Pulling life back into my words, Creativity shoots at my heart. Lingerin... Continue reading...

The Shifter

INTRODUCTIONS
The Council:
The Galactic Council of Justice and Honor sat in council waiting intensely for the boy to speak. The Grand Magistrate stared down at the boy impatiently. The Magi on his left held her breath with furrowed brow, while the Shaman Priest sat on his right with a look of complete and utter shock.
The Grand Magistrate barked menacingly: "Well, boy? We have hear... Continue reading...

Journey of Soul

Journey of Soul: before the beginning was the ending of something else.
PROLOGUE:
Everyone, at one point, has had the opportunity to choose to ascend or to go back. This is the story of one account of choosing to dive back in - diving from a beautiful world, into one of mystery and anticipation. As you read this, begin to remember re-membering yourself. Remember your firstness. Memory, be restored.

I have ascended and I have chosen to come ... Continue reading...

I stare into the blue like a Zen monk trying to find the meaning of his passive life in a simple little blade of grass. Some might think I’m doing some type of avant garde performance piece, being as still as possible. In reality I’m stuck. Stuck in between the breaths of shame, jumbled with passion. My brain box is skipping – on a loop about realism. My eyes flicker and die out as a brilliant idea bounces with back flips across my frontal lobe and then swings out my ear, never to be he... I have a personal philosophy that it is just as important (if not more so) to have a Life Mission Statement as it is to have a business mission statement. People are complex. We have many different interests and passions, as well as diverse skills and knowledge. These are our treasures and gifts. These are what we should utilize in our efforts to become both successful and happy.
With any mission statement it is important to note that the mission statement can always change at any point i... Continue reading...
